Members & Roles

Inviting members

Under Settings → Members, enter an email and pick a role to send an invitation. The recipient joins via the link in the invite email (valid for 7 days). Registered users join directly; others are guided to sign up first.

The four roles

A team has four roles, from most to least privileged:

RoleIn one line
OwnerThe team's ultimate owner, with full access. Each team has exactly one owner.
AdminRuns the team day to day: forms, question banks, respondents, leads, members, team settings.
MemberBuilds quizzes and works the leads they generate.
ViewerReads. Cannot change anything, anywhere.

The line between owner and admin is deliberate: an admin runs the team, an owner owns it. Anything that changes who the team belongs to, or its relationship with us as a paying customer, stays with the owner.

Topping up is usage management, not a change to the subscription, so an admin can do it. Everything that alters the subscription itself stays with the owner.

Who can manage whom

  • Owner and admin can both manage everyone else — including each other. An admin can appoint another admin, demote one, disable one, or remove one.
  • The owner's own row is untouchable. The owner changes only by transferring ownership, never by editing a role.
  • Nobody can change their own role, not even to step down. Ask another owner or admin to do it. Leaving the team is always your own to do.
  • Member and viewer cannot manage anyone.

Because admins can demote each other, treat admin as a role you grant to people you'd trust with the team. If you want someone to see everything without touching it, that's Viewer.

Transferring ownership

Only the owner can transfer ownership, from Settings → Members. The new owner must already be an active member of the team. After the transfer you become a regular member — the team always has exactly one owner.

An owner cannot leave the team directly; transfer ownership first.
