Custom Domain

By default, public quiz links live on the platform domain. With a custom domain, respondents see your own domain instead — better for brand consistency and trust.

Find it under Settings → Custom Domain.

Custom domain is a Pro plan feature.

Setting it up

Enter your domain

Fill in the domain you want to use, e.g. quiz.yourbrand.com. A subdomain is recommended over your apex domain.

Add the DNS record

The DNS Configuration Guide on the page gives you one record with three columns — Type / Name / Value. Add it verbatim at your DNS provider.

Wait for verification

Come back and click Refresh status. The status moves between Verifying and Verified, or shows Verification Failed.

DNS records take a few minutes up to 48 hours to propagate, depending on your provider. Not verifying immediately after setup is normal — refresh again later.

Status values

StatusMeaning
VerifyingThe record is submitted; waiting on DNS propagation and the check
VerifiedThe domain is live and public links use it
Verification FailedNo correct record found — re-check Type / Name / Value against the guide
SuspendedThe Pro plan has expired

When Pro expires the domain becomes Suspended: there is a 7-day grace period, after which the custom domain stops resolving. Renewing restores it — you don’t need to redo the DNS setup.
