Social Share Card (OG)
When you share a quiz link to platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, X, or Slack, the platform automatically fetches the social share card (Open Graph info) to generate a preview. Customizing this card noticeably improves click-through.
What you can customize
- og:title: The main heading shown on the card (recommended within 20 characters).
- og:description: A short note below the title (recommended within 60 characters).
- og:image: The card's image, recommended 1200 × 630 px.
Leave any field empty and it falls back to the quiz's title, description and cover image — those live in the quiz's Settings. If there's no cover either, an automatically generated brand card is used, so previews are never blank.
How to set it
In the target quiz, open Share → Share card, fill in the title and description, upload a preview image, check the Preview Effect, and save. If you close the dialog with unsaved changes, you're asked before they're discarded.
Tips
- Keep the title concise and compelling, conveying the quiz's topic and value.
- Add a call to action in the description (e.g. "Find out your … in 3 minutes").
- Make the preview image's aspect ratio and clarity suitable for major platforms.
Result share images
When respondents share their own result, the link carries an automatically generated personalized result card (see Result sharing). That image carries a Made with RooQuiz watermark in the corner.
Some platforms cache the fetched card. If the preview doesn't change after an update, it's usually caching — try again later or refresh with the platform's debugging tool.
Embed
Embed a quiz directly into your own site so visitors answer without leaving the page: the available embed modes, the code each one generates, and which mode suits which kind of page.
UTM Source Tracking
UTM source tracking labels where each response came from so you can compare channels. What the parameters mean, how to build a tagged link per channel, and where the numbers show up.
