Appearance & Personalized Templates
Appearance has two layers: the theme controls colours and corner radii, while a personalized template controls the page layout itself. Most of the time the theme is all you need.
Theme
Adjust it under Theme Selection in the editor; changes show live in the preview:
| Control | Notes |
|---|---|
| Theme colours | Primary, secondary, accent and neutral, plus info / success / warning / error |
| Border radius | Separate values for boxes, fields and selectors |
| Effects | Depth, noise and similar texture toggles |
| Sizes & border | Overall density and border weight |
If you have brand imagery, use Pick colors from image — upload one and the palette is extracted into your theme colours, which beats entering hex codes by hand.
Personalized templates
A personalized template changes the layout, not just the palette. Two are available:
| Template | Notes |
|---|---|
| Default | The standard layout — clean and neutral, right for most quizzes |
| Kinetic | A design-led layout with a stronger visual treatment on the landing and result pages |
Switching to Kinetic requires Pro. Note the gate is on the act of switching only: a quiz already using it keeps rendering, editing and duplicating normally on a free team — nothing is downgraded.
Switching templates warns that your current personalization settings will be reset — a different layout means a different set of layout parameters, and the old adjustments can’t carry over. Duplicate the quiz first if you want to keep them.
The landing page
The landing page is the first screen a respondent sees. In the editor you control:
- Whether the title and description show, and how they’re aligned.
- The cover image.
- The start button’s wording.
The landing page also affects search indexing: with it turned off, the quiz opens straight into questions and search engines have almost nothing to read. If you want to be found, keep the landing page on and write a real description.
