Template Center
The Template Center holds complete quizzes you can clone — questions, logic, scoring and report configuration all included. Starting from a template is much faster than starting from blank, which is why it’s the default path when creating a quiz.
Picking a template
- Filter by category, or tick Recommended Only to see just the curated ones.
- Cards show usage and view counts, which tells you what actually works.
- Open a template to preview it, and switch between Desktop and Mobile to check it holds up on a small screen.
When it fits, click Use this template. You get your own copy of the quiz and can change anything — your edits never touch the template itself.
A template only decides your starting point. The resulting quiz is indistinguishable from one built blank; there is no template lock-in.
Publishing your own quiz as a template
A quiz that works well can be published as a template so the rest of your team can clone it. Publishing asks for a cover image, a category and a description.
Unpublishing and republishing
Templates can be unpublished:
- It disappears from the Template Center and from the creation dialogs.
- Quizzes already cloned from it are completely unaffected.
- You can republish at any time; while it’s down the list shows an Unpublished tag.
Unpublishing is not deleting. If you just don’t want it used this quarter, unpublish — no need to delete and rebuild later.
Creating templates through an AI client
With MCP connected, an AI client can build a quiz and publish it as a template for you.
The publish call sometimes times out even though the write succeeded. After a timeout, check the template list before retrying — otherwise you end up with two copies of the same template.
